The Helderberg Family and Community Organization (HFCO) is honored to bring the 2nd Annual Hope and Peace Community Festival of Trees to the residents of the Hilltown and surrounding communities. Individuals, families, businesses, groups and organizations are invited to sponsor and decorate a tree for our community display.
The 2020 Festival of Trees will be on display behind the Knox Fire Department from December 5, 2020 through January 1, 2021. The trees will be lit each morning (5 - 7:30 AM) and evening (4:15 - 11 PM) through January 1st. We hope they add joy to your holiday season. Please maintain appropriate social distance from others as you visit the trees.
The beautiful tree in the middle of the festival display is our community tree. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we were unable to safely hold ornament making workshops this year. We invite you to make or purchase an ornament to add to this tree! Please add the date, your name and/or a message to the community on the ornament. We will keep these ornaments in safe-keeping after the event, and place them on the tree for years to come. Ornaments can be added anytime throughout the month. You do not have to have sponsored a tree to participate-- all are welcome to contribute. (Please be sure that they are waterproof and wired on, as it gets breezy in the park.)
For more information on sponsoring and decorating a tree next year, please contact Maryellen Gillis at (518-872-1899), Nate Elble (518-669-7916) or email at helderbergfco@gmail.com.
All proceeds from this event benefit the Helderberg Family and Community Organization, a non-profit, 501c3, youth and community development organization dedicated to serving the residents of the Helderberg and surrounding communities.
